What is Holistic Pelvic Care?

Holistic Pelvic Care (HPC) is a  practice consisting of physical and energetic tools designed to evaluate, restore balance, and enhance vibrant flow in the pelvic bowl of the female body by working with a woman’s core patterns located within the pelvis.  It was created by Tami Kent, M.S.P.T.

The primary goal of HPC is to empower a woman to inhabit her pelvic space and occupy her feminine ground physically, energetically, emotionally, and spiritually.  HPC works to clear pelvic congestion and support pelvic wellness.

Who Would Benefit?

Any woman who desires more connection to her root wisdom and relief from pelvic imbalance.
Specific health manifestations addressed include but are not limited to:
*Painful periods
*Pelvic pain
*Painful intercourse
*Urinary incontinence, dribbling, and/or hesitancy
*Cesarean recovery
*Vaginal birth recovery
*Post-partum care
*Fibroids
*Fertility issues
*Decreased libido
*Any trauma to the pelvic region
*Many women receive HPC for general health maintenance and well being

What does a session look like?

To begin the appointment, a detailed health history is taken with focus given to current issues that you would like addressed.  The hands on session takes place on a massage table in a supportive environment.  The pelvic anatomy is introduced on a skeletal model.  Then a women's pelvic muscles are assessed intervaginally.  Detailed physical pelvic work and guided visualizations are done at the client’s pace and comfort level.  Initial appointments are 1- 1.5 hours, follow-up appointments are from 30-45 minutes.  After receiving a session, women report having an immediate increase in awareness of their pelvic space and vitality.  Women feel an increase in pelvic muscle strength, circulation, support, and a sense of being grounded and relaxed.

Follow-Up

The total number of treatments will depend on how you respond to the first session and how chronic your condition.  It is common for women to become aware of deep emotional connections in their lives while receiving this work.  If there is a history of physical or emotional abuse I recommend having a working relationship with a counselor prior to the start of treatment.  HPC is a system that serves the physical, emotional, and spiritual health of each woman.
